History

The agency was founded by A.M. Haskell Jr. back in 1949. To provide clients services to acquire, manage and dispose agricultural lands in eastern South Dakota. He remainned engaged until his pasing in November of 2016. In 1993 Jorge D. Vicuna completed the purchase of the company and continues to manage it directly to this date. Over the years we have sold many farms and appraised properties well before the activity was regulated. There is a lot of history in our archives.

WHO WE ARE

Our business is to represent absentee owners in their agricultural landholdings in east central South Dakota. We look for highest economic returns mindful of protecting the long term value of the property. We primarely serve the Beadle County area, but are licensed to operate in all of South Dakota.
ThePicture below was a very dry year. A remarcable yield for the conditions. It is one of the parcels under management. The second picture is the cover attained in Pheasant Habitat under CRP.

the picture below is another managed property. W1/2 section 4-t109N-R62W Beadle County SD. It was winter wheat last year. It yielded over 70 Bu/ac over 260 acres planted. As a second crop it yielded 550 bales of 1100# millet hay. 2025 it is in corn with great potential. This parcel is presently for sale.

We identify good tenants for your land to attain consistent competent performance. The implementation of newer proven practices is an important element in finding the right tenant. The targeted fertilization has proven to be a good practice.
